A quick rinse after every run removes the dirt before it causes damage. Clean shoes smell better and last longer.

My own Saucony Peregrines have done over 1,057km of Peak District fell running with no holes. I rinse and use a Trainer Drainer after every run.

Trail shoes cost around £140. If proper care adds 50% more life — which is what we're seeing — that's roughly £70 of extra mileage for a one-off £15 investment.

I built Trainer Drainer from a single material — PETG — because I wanted it to be recyclable when it's done. I don't yet have the volume to run the recycling process myself, but I'm not going to let that stop the commitment.
